1. Eddie Lacy, RB, Green Bay Packers
Despite an amazing career at Alabama, Eddie Lacy was taken as the 4th overall RB drafted – in the bottom of the 2nd round. After a rough September, Lacy burst onto the scene in October, rushing for 1,127 yards and 10 TDs in the last 13 games and setting Packer records for yards and TDs for a rookie. Lacy had four games with over 100 yards rushing (tied for 5th most in the league) and finished the season in the top 10 of all rushing categories.
For his stellar play he was named Offensive Rookie of the Year – the first RB to earn the honor since Adrian Peterson in 2007. Now Lacy will enter 2014 as the official starter for the Packers, and may rise as the best young RB in football. And with QB Aaron Rodgers taking the load off with his stellar play, Lacy’s numbers and value should only increase.
