14 tries
Greg Inglis – South Sydney Rabbitohs
Jamie Lyon – Manly Sea Eagles
Nathan Merritt – South Sydney Rabbtiohs
Greg Inglis has gone from the best centre in world rugby league to the best fullback, only seriously challenged by Billy Slater.
Arguably the most athletic player in the NRL, Inglis has been blessed with size, strength and power that can make other players look like boys players against men.
If Inglis was the best centre in the world, that title would not be out of place with Manly’s captain Jamie Lyon, with his 14 tries, and many try assists showing what he means to the Sea Eagles side.
Merritt is not only one of the most slippery backs in the NRL, but he never gives up on a play, and when a team-mate makes a line-break you’re going to get short odds the first person an off-load finds is the fullback/winger.
