9. The Big Show – The Giant came in telling everyone that he was going to make an impact and he did. With a solo elimination of Jack Swagger and four assisted eliminations of Bray Wyatt, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose, Big Show finished with the fourth most eliminations in the Royal Rumble match. If not for an untimely betrayal attempt of Kane that led to a distraction which allowed Roman Reigns to eliminate both of them, Big Show likely would have finished in the final two.
8. The Rock – It would prove to be an excellent night for the Anao’i family as The Rock made his return to the WWE ring for the first time since Wrestlemania 29 to help out his cousin Roman Reigns in the final moments of the Royal Rumble. As excited as fans were to see The Most Electrifying Man In All Of Sports Entertainment back in the ring, it kind of mellowed out with all of the negative reaction Reigns was getting throughout the night when it became clear he was going to win it all. But this could, in turn, lead to some kind of
7. John Cena – The Champ (or should we say “former Champ”?) put up a valiant fight, landing Attitude Adjustments everywhere and at times tossing Brock Lesnar around in ways he couldn’t in their first title bout at Summerslam last August, and had the match been just against Seth Rollins he likely would have put that match away easily and walked out the Champion. But Cena threw everything but the kitchen sink at Brock Lesnar and it bounced off of him like flies. For the first time in nearly 10 years John Cena seems just plain stumped as to how to beat this man.
