4. Luke Joeckel, OT (JAX) – The former No. 2 overall draft pick who was considered by many to be the best pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, suffered a season ending leg injury during his rookie year. The Jaguars need Joeckel to come in and be the star that he is capable of being or they may have no chance at keeping their QB – Chad Henne or Blake Bortles – on his feet.
3. Rob Gronkowski, TE (NE) – Tom Brady’s only Pro Bowl starter in the New England offense, Gronkowski may be the key to a return trip to the AFC Championship game in 2014. However, Gronk is recovering from back surgery that made him miss the final three games of the 2013 season and the team’s playoff run. With a receiving corps as young as the Patriots have, they will need their veteran star to recover quickly to have a chance at another AFC title.
2. Tony Romo, QB (DAL) – The Cowboys’ QB is on pace for a full recovery following his herniated disk that required surgery and caused him to miss the final game of the 2013 season. The team invested heavily in Romo prior to the season which means they need him to not only return to the field, but return to the high level that allowed them to reach the playoffs three times in his first four years as a starter.
