Eli Manning takes the field one day after watching his Superbowl XLII teammate Michael Strahan enter the Hall of Fame.
The first preseason game will give NFL fans their first glimpse of game-speed football since the Superbowl. The Buffalo Bills will face the New York Giants in an exhibition game that will also feature the first implementation of the new PAT distances.
Here are the 10 players to keep an eye on and see how they perform in the Hall of Fame Game:
10. Robert Ayers (NYG) – After 5-straight lackluster years in Denver, the Broncos released Ayers and he was promptly signed by the Giants. The team is very high on Ayers – who only has 12 sacks in 72 games played – and hope he can provide some of the pass rushing skill that the team gave up when they allowed Justin Tuck to hit free agency.
9. Brandon Mosley (NYG) – Replacing long-time starter Chris Snee will be no easy task, especially for a 2nd year player like Mosley. But if the Giants want to get back to being a productive offense after being 28th in the league in scoring, they need to find out if Mosley can be the powerful pulling guard that the offense needs – and find it out very quickly.
