5. Kyrie Irving – Cleveland Cavaliers
Think of Kyrie Irving almost as a Damian Lillard 2.0 or, dare we say it, a Kobe Bryant 1.5.
Cleveland’s star player has almost the same set of skills as the Portland point man and the Lakers star, as he takes on the responsibility of being the franchise player of the Cavs at just 21 years of age.
One of the unwritten goals for Irving this season will be to play in all 82 regular season games, having missed 54 games through injury in the past two years.
Despite this, Irving has shown himself to be one of the most deadly players on his day, showing speed and strength in getting to the basket, with his output on the offensive end going up four points a game from his rookie season.
However, he is prone to tunnel vision and will need to improve his court awareness if he is to become an elite point guard.
With the addition of other budding stars around him in Cleveland thanks to the draft, Irving will need to shoulder more responsibility as the Cavs should start to move back towards being a playoff side.
