#9 Sunderland – 1,239 wins in 2,290 matches (54%)
The Black Cats dominated the 1890s but have become one of the most inconsistent grandfather teams since the 1970s. Sunderland have been relegated eight times in the last fourty years only to wreck the Division Two and return to Division the One the following year on several occasions. This past year they finished 89th out of 92 in home winning percentage.
#8 Everton – 1,246 wins in 2,268 matches (54.94%)
Quiety, the Toffees have been a top 10 team for the better part of the last decade, but they’ve never been a truly dominant team since the 1980s. Hard to argue with results though and the Toffees certainly have plenty of bigs wins to make up for decades without a title.
