1. Thierry Henry, Arsenal
Henry may not be the all-time leading scorer, but he is certainly high up on the list as he ranks fifth with 175 goals. The French legend also led Arsenal to two Premier League titles while scoring at least 10 goals in all eight of his seasons as a Gunner, including five seasons with at least 24 goals. He also holds the single-season record for assists with 20.
His impact on the field and ability to instantly make his teammates better is very similar to NBA star LeBron James. Henry is the all-time leading scorer for Arsenal. For those who argue Shearer as the greatest Premier League player of all time, Henry scored at a much faster rate than Shearer as he scored his 175 goals in only 258 appearances. That’s 0.68 goals per game if that previous stat wasn’t mind-blowing enough.
His scoring ratio ranks second all-time only behind Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero while Shearer is 10th. Agüero has only played four seasons in the Premier League and will have to keep up his pace to be compared to the all-time greats.
