It’s been 10 years and counting since Brady won his last Super Bowl, but the 2014 roster may be the best he’s ever worked with.
The Patriots have been to 3 straight AFC Championship games, going to Superbowl XLVI but ultimately losing to the Giants. After losing in 2013, the Patriots devoted the 2014 off-season to making sure they have enough firepower to beat the Broncos – and they may have done just that.
Here are the top 10 reasons the Patriots will return to the Superbowl:
10. Past success – The Patriots have made the AFC Championship game 8 times in the last 13 years, while also winning 12 or more games in a season 8 times. The data shows that the Patriots have about as much a chance as anyone at making the Super Bowl.
9. More experienced receivers – In 2013 Tom Brady had no fewer than 10 1st year players to throw passes to. All of those players enter training camp with more experience and a firmer grasp of the team’s playbook. More experience means that the young team that was still able to win 12 games will only get better.
