8. Gronk is back – The value of the return of All-Pro TE Rob Gronkowski from his injuries cannot be overstated. Since 2011 Tom Brady has been a much more efficient QB with him on the field than when he is injured. When healthy Gronkowski is a Top 2 TE in the league, and having him for a full season would do wonders for the Patriots’ Superbowl chances.
7. Team is healthy again – Jerod Mayo, Vince Wilfork, Danny Amendola, Shane Vereen – these are just some of the names of starters who missed time due to injuries, some of which were season ending. But now that the team is healthy and ready to return, there is no reason the unit should not be as dynamic in 2014 as it has been the last few years.
