The New Orleans Saints won their first Super Bowl in 2009, and they head into 2014 with a roster that is arguably more talented than their championship team.
The Saints have not made a deep playoff run since winning the Super Bowl, and they have only won two playoff games since.
However, they showed dramatic improvement in their defense and upgraded it even more in the offseason. Almost their entire starting lineup is returning as well, so they will have experience and chemistry under their belts.
Here are 10 reasons why the Saints will win their second Super Bowl:
10. Offensive line continuity
The Saints are returning four of their starters on the offensive line, and center Jonathan Goodwin will be with his old team again after helping them win their Super Bowl. Familiarity and experience will allow them to help keep Drew Brees upright.
9. Returning starters
The Saints will have just about all of their starters from the 2013 team returning. Except for center Brian De La Puente, the entire offense will be back for the 2014 season. Most of their defense will return as well.
