7. Eric Gordon – New Orleans Pelicans
Looking more like a running back in a shooting guard’s body, Gordon will be looking to be a key piece in the Pelicans team that on paper, looks like it could be anything in a season or two.
Since moving to New Orleans from the Los Angeles Clippers, Gordon’s time on the court has been cut short by injuries but he has shown glimpses of what he is capable of.
During his time in LA, Gordon showed he dangerous he can be, averaging 22.3 points 4.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds during the 2010-11 season.
That extra masses helps him stay strong through contact as he drives to the line, and when that is combined with his ability to make his own shot off the dribble, Gordon has be a match-up nightmare for a lot of teams.
