5. Klay Thompson – Golden State Warriors
The biggest reason why the Golden State Warriors traded number six guard on our list Monta Ellis is because what they saw in our number five – Klay Thompson.
Two years ago when he came into league few could have predicated the impact the Washington State star could have on the Western Conference, but everybody does now.
Possessing a very smooth and easy shooting stroke, Thompson has put it to good use on the wings for the Warriors on his to averaging 12.5 points a game in his rookie year, up to 16.6 last season – and that trend looks like it is set to continue.
And in a sign of how dangerous they will be for years to come, Thompson and Steph Curry combined for an NBA-record 483 three-pointers last season.
