7. Max Meyer (FC Schalke 04)
Max Meyer had a phenomenal record in youth football – in 2011-12 he scored 24 goals and assisted 17 in all competitions from his position of advanced playmaker.
Since graduating to the first team squad last season, he has made the central attacking midfield spot his own – even ahead of fellow Schalke wonderkid Julian Draxler, who has made no secret he would like more opportunities in the position.
In 33 games this season, the 18 year-old has scored six goals and provided four assists.
