5. WR Terrance Williams, Cowboys
With all the talk about Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray being the keys to the Cowboys offense, it was actually the second WR Terrance Williams that saved the day with his incredible 3 catch, 92 yard and two TD performance against the Lions. With 1:37 left to go in the first half and the Cowboys trailing 14-0, Williams caught a Romo pass in stride in the middle of the field and took it 76 yards to the house to put them on the board and make it a game. And with 2:32 left in the game with the Cowboys trailing 24-20, Williams caught an 8-yard pass from Romo for the game-winning TD.
4. RB Jonathan Stewart, Panthers
Few RBs have been as effective since December than Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart. His 24 carry, 123 yard and 1 TD performance against the Cardinals defense was his 3rd 100-yard rushing game in the last five, and his second highest rushing total since the 2010 season. His 5.1 yards/carry made him an unstoppable force and allowed the Panthers to move the ball at will – the Panthers offense held the ball for 37 minutes, nearly a full quarter longer than the Cardinals.
3. QB Joe Flacco, Ravens
If there’s one QB in the NFL who flips the switch the moment the playoffs start it’s Joe Flacco. After two prior playoff losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers since his 2008 rookie season, Flacco finally got the monkey off his back by beating his arch-rival in the playoffs – and he played great to boot. 62% completion, 259 yards, 2 TDs a 114.0 passer rating made Flacco’s night all the more impressive against one of the better defenses in this year’s playoffs.
