Jackson Martinez (FC Porto)
The red-hot Colombia international is once again enjoying another hugely impressive campaign in front of goal for the Portuguese champions, which no doubt explains the Gunners retaining their long-running interest in the striker.
Porto, meanwhile, are once again expected to offload their prize asset come the end of the campaign as is their policy every year, with president Pinto da Costa set to sell the South American to the highest bidder.
However, the north Londoners are sure to face stiff competition for the player’s signature in the summer transfer window, as one would expect for a forward who has netted a remarkable 58 goals in just 86 games in total in all competitions for the Portuguese giants.
But with a contract at the Dragao that runs until June 2016 and a big-money buyout clause in that deal, there must be some doubt as to whether Arsenal will be able, or even willing, to fork out the necessary funds in order to lure Martinez to the Emirates for next season.
