3. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Games played: 15 (2)
Goals: 15
Assists: 5
Goals + assists: 20
Had Sergio Aguero been fit for the entirety of the Premier League season, it is not an unreasonable assumption to suggest that Manchester City might be top of the table – and by some distance.
Manuel Pellegrini’s team have only lost one game Aguero has scored in all season in all competitions.
The Argentine’s low centre of gravity and stocky build allows him to combine great strength and skill, and his ability to both drop deep and run behind opposition defences makes him tricky for both defences and midfields to mark.
Aguero scored the most famous goal in Man City history when he scored the winner against Queens Park Rangers in May 2012.
Having signed an extension to his contract in May 2013, there is plenty of time for him to score many more yet.
