1. Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
Games played: 22
Goals: 23
Assists: 9
Goals + assists: 32
Luis Suarez has scored more Premier League goals than any other player, and no player has given more top flight assists than the Liverpool forward.
The Uruguayan’s street football style makes him a highly unpredictable opponent, and his ability to fashion chances out of practically nothing have earned him comparison with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – as has his goal tally.
Despite missing the first six games of the season through suspension, Suarez has been in sensational form throughout the campaign, and has regularly demolished teams practically on his own.
The 27 year-old has scored braces against Sunderland, Fulham, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Cardiff City and Stoke City, a hat-trick against West Bromwich Albion and a four goal haul against Norwich City.
If there is one criticism of Suarez, it is a failure to score in the big games, with strikes against Spurs, Everton and West Ham United his only goals against teams in the top half of the table this season.
Still, most managers would probably take them in their team, right?
