1. Liverpool
Total defensive errors: 28
Total errors leading to goal: 6
Liverpool have performed excellently up front this season, with Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling all contributing impressively to the club’s goal tally.
However, the Reds are often let down by their back line, with Kolo Toure’s mistake against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend an excellent example.
Liverpool were on course for three points before the Ivorian needlessly passed the ball to Baggies striker Victor Anichebe, who promptly levelled the scores, and helped his team secure a valuable point – which was very much two points dropped by Brendan Rodgers’ men.
Cut out the mistakes, and Liverpool’s quest to qualify for the UEFA Champions League becomes a lot easier.
