The Falcons’ inexplicable fall from NFC powerhouse to bottom-feeder in 2013 brought HC Mike Smith’s long-term viability as head coach into question.
7 head coaches were fired at the end of the 2013 season, 8 were fired after 2012, and another 7 were fired in 2011. Some of the coaches on the list have been extremely successful but seem to have lost the pulse of the locker room or the good graces of the front office, others are looking for that elusive first winning season. But all of the coaches on this list may get a pink slip at the end of the year (or even during the year) if they don’t win big, and win soon.
