1. Mark Sanchez, Eagles – Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer coached Sanchez for three years with the Jets before being fired by the team after the 2011 season. In 2011, Schottenheimer’s last year with the team, Sanchez had 32 TDs – 26 passing, 6 rushing. There may not be a single QB in the NFL besides Clements that would be more ready to join the team with a thorough knowledge of the offensive system. The Eagles have stated that they are open to trade offers for Sanchez’s services after signing him as a backup, so the Rams would have to weigh the cost-benefits of giving up a player or a draft pick for him. But at age 27, he is in his prime and will have far better weapons to work with in St. Louis than he did in his final years with the Jets.
