SEC may destroy itself – The one fatal flaw the SEC has is that with so many excellent teams, they may ultimately beat up on each other too much to compete for the national title in 2014.  Week-to-week there could be a new SEC team atop the rankings once the teams finish the inter-conference games and start playing each other.  Alabama seemed like the sure-fire No. 1 overall team until they lost the Iron Bowl to Auburn.  That one loss bumped them out of the SEC title game and out of the national title hunt altogether – and that’s only one example.  With the level of competition in the SEC in 2014, the teams could ultimately have too many losses among each other for any one team to make it to be named a top 3 FBS team.
