Easy schedule – The ACC has been rising in the ranks of power conferences in the FBS but still does not have the level of competition that the SEC, Big Ten or Pac-12 bring to the sport.  Of the 11 teams remaining on FSU’s schedule, four of them lost their opening game – and one of those teams (Clemson) was seen as the early favorite to dethrone them from the ACC crown.  Only two opponents on the schedule – Clemson and Notre Dame – are even ranked.  It is almost impossible for an unranked team to beat a top 5 team, meaning Notre Dame may be the only conceivable opponent that can make FSU even sweat in a game.
