1. Limitless potential in year one – Manziel’s athletic gifts are well documented: his accuracy with the ball, scrambling ability and all-around football intelligence make him one of the most gifted athletic prospects since Robert Griffin III. If the Browns really want to get out of the NFL gutter immediately, they would benefit from a player with so many similarities to RGIII. And what some people forget is that unlike RGIII, who had very few great weapons to work with in 2012, Manziel (even without Josh Gordon) would get to work with Pro Bowl TE Jordan Cameron and experienced playmakers Ben Tate, Miles Austin and Nate Burleson, all while being protected by All-Pro offensive linemen Joe Thomas and Alex Mack. Manziel’s potential is through the roof right now and the Browns need to realize this if they want to win more than a few games in 2014 or just resign themselves to another throwaway season.
