4. Nasim-ul-Ghani – 101 (Pakistan v England, 1962)

The Pakistani bowler became the first cricketer to hit a century from the position of nightwatchman. His achievement came at the home of cricket, Lord’s, as he also claimed the record of becoming the first Pakistani to make 100 on English soil.

There is some controversy over whether Nasim was actually a nightwatchman however, as he went on to open the batting for Pakistan later in his career and was batting at number six when he came in as nightwatchman in 1962.
