1. Michael Vick, Jets
One of the most decorated and successful active QBs without a starting job, Vick is a 4-time Pro Bowler with the NFL QB record for rushing yards and was signed by the Jets in the 2014 offseason to challenge Geno Smith for the starting job. However as the teams enter the preseason Vick seems slated to be Smith’s backup.
If anything happens to Smith that would prevent him from playing, Vick would be in the perfect situation to succeed immediately: he is familar with OC Marty Morhinweig’s system, his skillset is right for the emphasis the Jets put on the running game, he is an experienced leader in the huddle and most of all he is a proven winner with a .547 career winning percentage in starts.
The Jets will be in good hands if they are forced to turn to Vick.
