The Big XII conference – Many people have tried to suggest that the Big XII schools were losing their ability to compete with the other major college conferences like the SEC, Pac-12 and Big Ten, but on Saturday the Big XII went 3-0 against the Big Ten and 1-1 against the SEC. West Virginia topped Big Ten newcomer Maryland on a last second field goal, Iowa State beat Iowa by 3 as well, and TCU dominated Minnesota. Meanwhile, while Texas Tech was crushed by SEC cellar-dweller Arkansas, Oklahoma dominated Tennesee – winning 34-10.
Cincinnati – QB Gunner Kiel showed the entire country why he deserved to be the No. 1 QB prospect in the nation all those years ago. Now the Bearcats find themselves as the lone undefeated team in the American Athletic Conference. With a game against Ohio State as the only game against a ranked opponent, Cincinnati could be poised for an easy ride to the AAC title and a bowl appearance – which would be their 8th in the past 9 years.
