It doesn’t matter if your opponent is the New England Patriots or the Oakland Raiders, when you beat a team 41-14 in the absolutely dominating fashion the Chiefs did on Monday Night, you’ve put the NFL on notice. Andy Reid, one of the longest lasting coaches in the NFL, got the team off to a rough 0-2 start before turning up the heat on opponents the last two weeks. Now the Chiefs are coming off a great win and could very well be in contention for a playoff spot (not likely the division title though with Denver and San Diego playing incredibly).
Here are the 5 biggest winners from Week 4 of the NFL season:
Kansas City Chiefs – It took two weeks and a much-needed return from RB Jamaal Charles, but this Chiefs team looks like one of the most complete teams in football at the moment.
Minnesota Vikings – Assuming Bridgewater is okay, the Vikings should be kicking themselves for not letting him start from the beginning. Better late than never as far as their playoff chances go with Adrian Peterson doubtful to return to the team.
Green Bay Packers – It took one dominating win over the Chicago Bears for NFL fans to remember that Aaron Rodgers is still one of the best pure football throwers in football, maybe even in NFL history.
Baltimore Ravens – The Steve Smith Sr. move has gone from being a stopgap solution while they build their receiving corps to a move that may get them into the postseason again.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – You have to wonder if the decision not to start Mike Glennon from the beginning will ultimately cost Lovie Smith’s team a trip to the playoffs.
