15. Sergio Aguero – Manchester City and Argentina
The Argentinians have a huge amount of attacking talent at their disposal and although injured for much of this campaign Aguero has still scored a bagful of goals for the Citizens.
14. Wayne Rooney – Manchester United and England
Has never quite cut it on the international stage for the Three Lions, but Rooney is an undeniable talent and is his country’s best player regardless.
13. Gerard Pique – Barcelona and Spain
In a team full of attacking talents Pique provides the security at the back that allows them to shine and is a key part of their success.
12. Philipp Lahm – Bayern Munich and Germany
Described by Guardiola as the most technically gifted player he has ever worked with, Lahm has been converted to defensive midfield this term but is likely to play at right-back for the Germans.
11. Robin van Persie – Manchester United and Netherlands
Another who hasn’t had the best of seasons by his high standards but remains a key player for the Dutch and is one of the best all round strikers in the game.
