The Seahawks won it all in Superbowl XLVIII, but getting back may be harder than expected, even for a team that was as good as they were last season.
Division rivalries are one of the many aspects of the NFL that make the game more exciting. But when an entire division is doing everything to one-up the other teams for the Division title – which guarantees a home playoff game – the NFL reaches the height of must-see TV drama.
Here is a power ranking of the 8 divisions in the NFL:
8. AFC South – Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans
A division that has the inconsistent Colts as the only real playoff contender is pretty boring, even with the Texans on the ascent. The Jaguars are going through an offensive famine and the Titans have not come close to the playoffs since they were the #1 overall seed in 2008.
The only way this division can become even remotely interesting is if rookie QBs Tom Savage (HOU) and Blake Bortles (JAX) become stars immediately and Titans QB Jake Locker can stay healthy long enough to win any games.
