1. James Frawley (Melbourne)
It’s beginning to look more and more likely that the key defender will move on from Melbourne to look for an opportunity for a premiership-contending side.
With Hawthorn, Geelong, Collingwood and Sydney reportedly clamouring for his services, Frawley is making the most of the situation and has asked for a $800,000-a-year seven-year contract at the Demons.
He won’t get that sort of contract anywhere else, but there is no doubting the talented 25-year-old will slip into any of those sides mentioned and become a key player.
At this stage he looks as good as gone, which is a huge blow to Paul Roos’ side in spite the fact they would receive a first-round draft pick as compensation.
