With the 2014 AFL home and away season nearing its conclusion, we look at the top five rookies of the year so far.
5. Kade Kolodjashnij (Gold Coast Suns)
Despite his tender age, Kolodjashnij has shown he is up to the standard both physically and technically and has been a shining light in Gold Coast’s push for its first finals appearance.
As a small defender, the 18-year-old has shown why he was a top five pick in the 2013 AFL Draft with his impressive performances earning him a NAB Rising Star nomination in Round 10.
Regardless of whether or not Gold Coast make finals this season, the young man of Ukrainian descent can look back on a successful debut season.
