Warner has lead by example across all three formats of the game and has shown excellent tactical nous in the Test arena.
Apart from stepping in as vice-captain for the one-day side for the 2011-12 summer, Warner doesn’t have much genuine leadership experience.
His troubled off-field past won’t help him, either.
Unlikely, but it would be a interesting experiment at the very least.
