1) David de Gea (Manchester United)
Perhaps the next in line to replace Casillas in goal for the Spanish national side, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could also be a top signing for Real Madrid as they eye their next big-name shot-stopper. The talented 23-year-old first caught the eye at Real’s local rivals Atletico, before being replaced at the club by Courtois upon completing his move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2011. Despite a slow start to life in English football, de Gea has now established himself as one of the best keepers in the Premier League and a player certain to be a star for much of the next decade or more. Real Madrid have been linked with a move to bring the player back to La Liga, and it would be no surprise if he felt tempted by the prospect of representing Spain’s biggest club side.
