1. Peyton Manning, QB, Denver Broncos
The No. 1 choice for MVP goes without saying, but Manning produced arguably the greatest season ever for a quarterback by throwing for 5,477 yards and 55 touchdown passes. The Broncos have won 13 games in each of Manning’s first two seasons in Denver, and they broke the record for most points scored in a single season with 606 points.
The five-time MVP has consistently shown an uncanny ability to make stars out of his teammates. Tight end Julius Thomas is a prime example of this. He had only one career catch before his breakout season in 2013, and it’s no coincidence that it was with Manning as his quarterback. The Broncos quarterback has shown no sign of slowing down, and he still has plenty of weapons that can help him win a sixth MVP award.
