Reported Manchester United and Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan could yet sign a new contract at Borussia Dortmund, according to his agent.
The German international midfielder only has one year left on his current deal with the Bundesliga giants and had previously claimed that he would not extend his stay.
Dortmund were preparing to sell the 24-year-old to one of his Premier League suitors this summer, but Gundogan appears to have changed his stance after talks with new Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.

“This was a very good discussion,” ESPN quotes his uncle Ilhan Gundogan as telling German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung. “Tuchel’s plans for Borussia are so exciting that Ilkay is pondering them at the moment.
“If you had asked me last week I would have said that Ilkay will certainly leave Dortmund this summer, but now it is clearly an option to sign a new contract at Borussia.”
Gundogan was a key member of the Dortmund side which reached the Champions League final in 2012-13, but has only made 23 league appearances in the last two seasons due to injury and a dip in form.
