Wilfried Bony (Swansea City)
Wilfried Bony is far from a mere battering ram, but does give Swansea City a physical element they were previously missing.
The Ivorian has been immensely useful for Michael Laudrup’s side – particularly in the absence of last season’s star performer Michu – and has fired in nine goals and laid on a single assist in his 17 appearances for the Swans.
Bony still has work to do on his build up play; he is immense in the air, but does not yet possess the proverbial good feet for a big man, and could have a cooler head in front of goal.
Nevertheless, it has been an immensely promising start to to his Swansea City career.
