4. Eden Hazard – Chelsea
While the PFA Player of the Year was outstanding in the Blues’ title-winning campaign and key in their triumph – there’s still the feeling that the Belgium winger has much more left in his locker.
At 24-years-old, Hazard is still learning the game, but with a Premier League medal in his trophy cabinet, the former Lille star really could become one of the world’s finest forwards on the European stage and will surely be aiming for Champions League glory next season.
3. Wayne Rooney – Manchester United
Last season was perhaps an uncomfortable one for the United captain with many of his starts coming from central midfield.
While the England international is admired for his versatility, there’s no doubt that he is at his best as a leading striker.
We can only hope that the 29-year-old isn’t pushed further back to accommodate for new signings from overseas this summer, as Rooney’s ability in front of goal should not be dismissed by van Gaal.
