Nothing quite satisfies a football fan like seeing one of their own make the step up to the first team.
Just ask the White Hart Lane faithful. But who is the next Harry Kane?
The Daily Telegraph has picked out each Premier League club’s best young prospect.
And fanatix has ranked them to see which sets of supporters should be most excited…
20. Christian Scales (Crystal Palace)
Left-back has been a problem position for Crystal Palace in recent times and they mind find a solution in Scales, who has been included in Alan Pardew’s squad for their pre-season tour of South Africa.
19. Kenji Gorre (Swansea City)
The Dutch-born striker moved to Swansea last year after failing to make the grade at either Manchester club. He made the bench towards the end of the 2015-16 campaign and has now signed a three-year deal.
18. Josh Murphy (Norwich City)
England Under-20 international Murphy already has 20 first-team appearances to his name, although he is unlikely to add to this tally following Norwich’s promotion and therefore could be loaned out again.
17. Filippo Costa (Bournemouth)
The Italy Under-20 international has joined the Cherries on a season-long loan from Chievo and there are hopes that he will be able to contribute to Bournemouth surviving in the Premier League.
