Boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that Chelsea are no playing fair, pointing to the sales of Juan Mata and Kevin de Bruyne in January as evidence of a new found respect for financial fair play at Stamford Bridge. But that doesn’t change the fact that Chelsea have a net spend of nearly double Manchester United’s during the past five years – which only accounts for half of Roman Abramovich’s tenure. With a top striker still need to complete the Portuguese’s squad, expect more big spending by the Blues this summer.
