4. Rafa Benitez
It is safe to say that Rafa Benitez is not Jose Mourinho’s favourite manager in the world.
The Spanish boss regularly got under Mourinho’s skin whilst in charge of Liverpool, with contentious decisions in the UEFA Champions League certainly not aiding the matter.
After Mourinho’s Chelsea beat Benitez’s Liverpool on each of the first three occasions they met, the Reds started to turn the tide, and the two managers’ relationship soon soured.
They often refused to shake hands, which gave Mark Hughes an excellent idea for future post match interviews, and their petty squabbles and press misdirection towards referees after poor performances from their own sides proved a valuable lesson for the likes of Tony Pulis in future.
In truth, Benitez and Mourinho aren’t so different, even if one of them has a dreadful goatee.
The trouble is neither will ever admit it.
