6. Park Chu Young (AS Monaco to Arsenal)
Arsenal signed Park Chu Young in late August 2011, arriving in the same summer as Per Mertesacker, Mikel Arteta and Andre Santos.
Meat Loaf wouldn’t accept a two out of four ratio and neither would Arsene Wenger, who sold Brazilian full back Andre Santos and left Park to languish in the reserves, praying he would be called up for national service.
Park has scored zero Premier League goals for Arsenal, and was sent to Celta Vigo on loan last season.
He managed to score three times in Spain, but narrowly avoiding relegation by finishing in 17th.
In truth, a side struggling with relegation is more Park’s level – and quite why a side like Arsenal with title aspirations would ever have been interested in signing him will likely remain unknown.
