Inter Milan could go head-to-head with Tottenham for the signature of Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, according to talkSPORT.
The reports claims the Italian giants are set to make a bid for the long-term Spurs target when the transfer window reopens in January.
Damiao is just one of a long list of strikers linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the last year, which includes Giuseppe Rossi, Fernando Llroente and Diego Forlan.
Whether or not Harry Redknapp will solidify his interest in Damiao could depend on the future of Roman Pavlyuchenko, who has been linked with a £13m return to Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow.
Damiao is certainly an exciting prospect and has scored 39 goals this season in all competitions, including his first goal for Brazil this month in a 1-0 win friendly over Ghana.
But Spurs could lose out to Inter’s financial clout, who are reportedly willing to back new manager Claudio Ranieri in the winter window.
