Porto star Atsu determine to leave Dragao.
Porto winger Christian Atsu says he wants to leave the Portuguese club this summer and fulfil his ‘dream’ of playing in the Premier League, reports GhanaSoccerNet.
The 21-year-old has long been linked with a reunion with former Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas at Tottenham but the Daily Mirror claimed last week that Liverpool were the only club to have tabled a bid for the Ghana international.
Atsu reportedly favours a move to White Hart Lane to link-up with Villas-Boas, who handed him his debut at Porto, and has confirmed that it his his dream to play in England.
The tricky midfielder has just one year remaining on his current deal and Porto are likely to sell the youngster this summer, rather than risk losing him for free at the end of next season.
“I have one more year contract with FC Porto but as a child I always dream to play at the highest level especially in England,” he told reporters at the Ghana international camp on Wednesday.
“I love to play there (England) so when I have the opportunity to play in England for sure I would like to move.”
