Arsenal transfer talk: Liverpool join Gunners in hunt for £15m starlet, Geoffrey Kondogbia latest
The Monaco star is a long-term Arsenal target and has also been watched by Barcelona, AC Milan, and Inter Milan. But Spurs seem to be in the front running at the moment.
Mauricio Pochettino is determined to anger Arsenal by signing Kondogbia, who has been compared to Gunners legend Patrick Vieira.
Although Kondogbia is primarily a defensive midfielder, he found the net at the Emirates Stadium in Monaco’s 3-1 win over Arsenal in the Champions League last term.
The French star has a large set of skills, especially with his precision of dribbling and passing. His tall and muscular stature helps him be one of the strongest players on the pitch. He also has a good amount of experience, as he has played a year in La Liga with Sevilla in between his time in France with Lens and Monaco. The 22-year-old obviously has a bright future ahead of him.
Last season, Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb were Spurs’ first choice for central midfield additions. Would Kondogbia be a big improvement?
