Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly working on a superb double deal worth around £45m for the signings of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony, according to the Daily Mirror.
The north London side have had a fairly quiet transfer window by their standards so far, bringing in young defenders Eric Dier and Ben Davies, along with another Swansea star in goalkeeper Michel Vorm.
New manager Mauricio Pochettino has his eye on further additions at White Hart Lane, however, and is desperate to be reunited with his old player Schneiderlin, who has also been strongly linked with rivals Arsenal for much of this transfer window.
Meanwhile, Tottenham also hope to beat Liverpool to the signing of Swans front-man Bony, who had a highly impressive debut season in the Premier League last term after also impressing at his previous club Vitesse.
Spurs have been keen to sign a new striker after some unconvincing displays from last summer’s big-money signing Roberto Soldado upfront, while the inconsistent Emmanuel Adebayor is the only other real contender to lead the team’s attack.
