Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has attracted interest from Manchester United, but the club are confident that he will stay for another season, according to the Daily Mail.
The French international has also been offered the captaincy for Spurs, which will make it even more difficult for Man United to get a deal through.
The Red Devils were bracing for the potential loss of David de Gea, but Real Madrid’s pursuit of the Spanish international has died down recently.
It is now looking likely that De Gea will play out the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, which puts Lloris in position to stay with Tottenham.
The 28-year-old has shined in the net for Spurs, which has boosted his asking price to about £30m.
They will look to continue pushing for a place in the top four after finishing last season in fifth place.
