Spurs have been linked with the Italian in the past.
Tottenham and Napoli could both reignite interest in Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo, with the Italian set to leave the Rome club this summer.
The striker openly criticised head-coach Aurelio Andreazzoli after being left out of the starting XI for the Coppa Italia final against city rivals Lazio at the weekend.
The 27-year-old now looks almost certain to leave the Stadio Olimpico, despite scoring 14 league goals in 25 appearances this season.
Both Spurs and Fiorentina have been linked with Osvaldo in the past, while Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport believes Napoli are the favourites for his signature.
Spurs are reportedly keen to appoint Roma’s Franco Baldini as director of football this summer – a move approved by boss Andre Villas-Boas – and the Italian could bring his compatriot with him to White Hart Lane.
The north London outfit are in need of a new forward this summer, after both Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe failed to consistently impress this term.
Both Napoli and Fiorentina, meanwhile, look set to lose their star strikers this summer, with the Viola’s Stevan Jovetic a target for Arsenal and Juventus, and several top clubs interested in Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.
