Spurs want £100m for Bale.
Tottenham have opened talks with Real Madrid over the transfer of Gareth Bale and Daniel Levy is expected to meet Florentino Perez on August 6 to discuss a world-record deal for the Welshman, according to Goal.com.
The author of the article, Greg Stobart, is thought to have links to Levy and claims the Spurs chairman will meet with Los Blancos president Perez in Florida next week, after Bale signalled his desire to join the La Liga giants.
Real have informed Bale that any move to the Santiago Bernabeu must happen this summer or not at all, prompting the forward to inform Levy of his decision but the former Southampton star has been keen to underline his happiness in North London and could still play a part in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Thursday.
Spurs will reportedly demand £100m for the 24-year-old and are interested in Real duo Fabio Coentrao and Angel Di Maria.
Levy, however, believes any part-exchanges will prove complicated and is keen to keep any follow up deals separate.
Despite insisting any deal is not a foregone conclusion, Stobart claims the deal is likely to be completed in the coming weeks, with Tottenham already planning to use the money to strengthen their squad with new additions.
