Baldini wants to bring Cagliari star with him to White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have entered the race to sign Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to Football Italia.
The Belgian international is also being tracked by Roma, Napoli and Inter Milan after a fine season in the Serie A.
The versatile 25-year-old can operate on the left wing, at attacking midfield or in front of the back four, and scored twice in 34 league appearances this season.
Spurs are set to appoint former Roma technical director Franco Baldini to a similar position at White Hart Lane in the next fortnight, and the Italian is said to be a fan of Nainggolan.
Baldini had been negotiating with Cagliari on Roma’s behalf before moving to north London and he is now expected to pick up where he left off with the Italian club.
Nainggolan will join fellow Belgium internationals Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen at Spurs should he sign.
